Being faithful to the traditional hospitality of Extremadura, Bodegas Valdeorite has opened its doors to the oenology world’s most recognized noses in order to conceive something that can only come from the union of an artist and the wide and colourful palette that is Extremadura, taking into account the best of our land.
Just as great cultures like the Gothic, the Roman, the Arabic or the Tartessian passed through our lands and knew how to use its resources to create wonders such as the Veletas Palace, the Alcazaba in Badajoz or the Theatre in Mérida, today Bodegas Valdeorite wants to attract different visions to be able to create products that are sons of Extremadura and the world.

There are six cultivation subzones in Extremadura, each one with its own characteristics, which makes it possible to work with a melting pot of grape varieties.
1. Montáñez. Brown land.
2. Cañamero.. The cultivation in the mountain range.
3. Ribera Baja. The clay soil of the Guadiana River.
4. Tierra de Barros. Fertile and rich soil.
5. Matanegra. The abundance of variety.
6. Ribera Alta. The flat lands of the Guadiana River.

Extremadura has a continental climate with variations depending on the area.

Well known by their Designation of Origin, there are 30 varieties of grapes, among which stand the Spanish tempranillo, macabeo, pardina and cayetana.

4. Cayetana. Of Extremeño origin.
5. Cabernet Sauvignon. Omnipresent.
6. Garnacha tinta. One of the most extensive.

9. Eva de los Santos. A creeping variety.
10. Syrah. Fruit of a tasty wine.
11. Merlot. Fineness.
12. Mazuelo. Late maturing.

With the purpose of announcing and promoting a gastronomic region with such immense wealth as Extremadura, Bodegas Valdeorite commences the Routes project.
Routes includes signature wines with Protected Geographic Indication, arising from the collaboration of well-recognized oenologists who reinvent the region from their unique perspective.
